El libro, coordinado por Xavier Montagud Mayor, continúa en su indagación sobre las posibilidades de la narrativa en la mejora de la práctica del trabajo social y ha contado con la coautoría de las profesionales Silvia Navarro Pedreño, Alba Pirla i Santamaria, Arantxa Hernández Echegaray, Fabiola Moreno, Daniel Rodríguez Díaz, Laura Ruiz Urbán, Belén Navarro Llobregat, Esperanza Molleda Fernández y Alfonso García Vilaplana.

As is well known, the field of social work is concerned with the problems and needs faced by individuals, families, and groups within their social environments. When Social Work Becomes Literature: Narrative as Creation and a Tool for Learning is a book that brings together the passion for this profession and the literary vocation of its authors, with the aim of promoting the role of literature in raising awareness and educating those interested in the world of social action.

In this realm, narrative has proven its capacity to foster and enhance key skills in helping professions—such as empathy, self-awareness, sensitivity, and creative imagination.
